Jack
Hickey, Senior Associate
Jack Hickey is a consultant and author on human resources
management, work design, and relationships between work
and life. In addition to his work with David J. Dell LLC,
he continues a long association with The Conference Board,
where he is co-author of two recent reports, Engaging
Employees through Your Brand and Sustaining the Talent
Quest.
From 1985 through 2000 Jack was Director of Policy Studies
for the Work in America Institute, and he was author or
major contributor to all the Institute's research reports
in that period, including the following titles Teams
Work--Lessons from Successful Organizations; Strategic
Partners for High Performance--Labor, Operations,
HR; Participation, Achievement, and Reward--The Vital
Infrastructure of Continuous Improvement; New Roles
for Managers; Training for New Technology; and Holding
a Job, Having a Life--Strategies for Change.
Jack has written books and articles on the full range of
HR management issues, and from 1990 to 1998 he was editor
of Human Resource Management News As both consultant
and author, Jack has made it a key principle to analyze
and understand workplace realities within a broad frame
of technological and cultural reference. He holds a B.A.
degree from Harvard University.
